2010-Rise of Stuxnet Virus

Stuxnet32-284x275It was reported in the media that the Stuxnet virus had attacked several computers in Iran. The virus had attempted to damage uranium enrichment centrifuges used in Irans nuclear development program by causing damaging speed variations. As a result of the virus, some centrifuges were deemed inoperable but the full extent of the virus was not known. The Stuxnet virus revealed the fragile nature of global infrastructure in a networked world.
