2005-Hadoop Developed

hadoopHadoop is an open source software project developed by google for extracting search results from large amounts of unstructured data, such as data found from the web. It was mainly used by large companies where networked scalability, cost effectiveness and fault tolerance were crucial in their business models. Large corporations such as google, yahoo, American airlines, IBM and twitter all used Hadoop. With Hadoop, different types of data could be easily integrated and Hadoop could redirect work to another system if a node failed in the cluster.
