1968-‘GO TO’ Letter is Published.

GOTOEdsger Dijkstra´s letter stating that unrestricted GOTO statements used in higher level languages should be abolished and argued that they complicated programming. The letter was published in the communications of the ACM and the ACM considered the letter to be harmful and thus, established a policy of no longer printing articles taking such an assertive position against coding practice.
